NOT ONLY AM I PROUD OF BARACK OBAMA FOR BECOMING THE FIRST BLACK PRESIDENT, BUT I'M PROUD OF HIM BELIEVING IN HIMSELF AND WANTING TO DO BETTER THAN HIS ANCESTORS. THIS ELECTION IS IMPORTANT TO ME BECAUSE WHO EVER THOUGHT THAT WE WOULD HAVE A BLACK PRESIDENT IT SHOWS THAT AFRICAN AMERICANS HAVE COME A LONG WAY AND THAT ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE.

WHEN I FOUND OUT THAT OBAMA WON I WASNT EXCITED BUT DONT GET ME WRONG I MEAN IT'S REALLY A GOOD THING TO FINALLY HAVE AN AFRICAN-AMERICAN IN OFFICE FOR A CHANGE BUT THAT SHOULDN'T BE THE ONLY REASON PEOPLE VOTED FOR HIM IT'S ALL ABOUT THE ISSUES AND WHO WE THINK WOULD BE BEST TO SOLVE THEM AND WHY. I THINK THAT EVEN MCCAIN WOULD HAVE MADE A GREAT PRESIDENT ALSO. I REALLY LOVED BOTH CANDIDATES

The results to the election wasn't that surprisig everyone knew that ObaMa was goig to win. People should't go 2 wild over obama winning an all though i know he's the first african american president but he's still just a presiden regardless if he's black or white. i agree with rosanda people shouldn't have vote for him just cuz he's black mccain woulda been a great president(im glad though)

the 2008 election really meant alot to me and the citizens of the united states more so to the african americans.barack obama fought his way to be the 44th president also the first african american president of the united states.John McCain led a good campign but no one knows this because they never listened to McCain because they look at the color of the skin instead of the speeches that both men gave.I feel that John McCain messed up when he picked Sarah Palin to run for Vice President because she doesnt know everything it would take to be president. she didnt even know that cananda was apart of north america and also she thought and said out her mouth that africa was a country. This is how i feel about the 2008 president election

Dzilla said...

The results to the election wasn't that surprising because all the people between 18 and 28 was going to vote for obama

My reaction to the election was really amazing. It was amazing to me because i never would have thought that we would have had a black. If you think about it really is emotional because Matin Luther King died trying his best to get whites and balcks to get along, not be segregeted and to not be treated different from any other race!!!

the 2008 was not a surprise to me because in the bible says you ask and you shall recieve and i prayed to god about obama being president and it happened. it is an amazing experience to have a african american president for the first time in the history of the united states.and we all need to pray for obama so that god can keep him safe.

Well I was'nt suprised that Barack Obama won because I kept up with the election and how many electoral votes both Mccain and Obama had and after Obama won Virginia, with it being a majority Republican state,I knew he was our next President.Similar to what Rosie said,I thought that Mccain would too made a great president but I just think we need a change and not another 4 years of President Bush's policies and ideas.

When I Saw On Brack Obama Flash On My T.V. As Our Next President I Literally Cried Not Tears Of Joy.I Felt That Most Black Americans That Voted Only Voted For Obama Because Of The Color Of His Skin.It Is Inspiring To See That His Accomplished Such A Great Thing Becoming The First Black Pres. Correction The First African/White Pres. But That Doesnt Mean I Agree With What He Plans To Do Or What He Believes In.Though I Knew This Would Happen As Much As I Didnt Want It To Barack Obama Announced Pres. Was My Worst NightMare.

WHAT COULD I SAY WHEN I SAW THE ELECTION... NOTHING. I WAS SPEECH LESS. BUT I DO THINK HE IS HERE FOR A RESON AND NOT ANY REASON FOR A CHANGE. ALSO NOT ANY CHANGE A CHANGE FOR THE BETTER. TO ME HE IS GOING TO BE THE NEXT ABERHAM LINCON BUT BLACK AND THAT IS OK

To me the 2008 Election was a wonderful experience. I mean we all knew that we was going to have a black man in the office but no one knew that it would be in the year of 2008. To me this election was great to me because it got a lot of young people involved. when i walked in marydale all i seen was teenagers who looked like they was from the ages of 18-25. with this election comes change for the next four years and many more afterwards. Also this election cuts out all the cants and the immpossible because OBAMA has proven that you can and it is possible.

I stayed up all night to watch the final outcome of the election. I was shocked when Obama won because I thought everyone had lost faith in him. i honestly thought McCain was going to win. I was hopeing McCain won in a way but the other half of me was excited he didnt win. Maybe it was for the best.

alright............... so i would say that my reaction to the election was kinda positive but also kinda negative. this would probably be because, one we finally have a black president and two what does this mean for the united states. this in m y opinion is that obama made history but also what would happen to him.

Coco said...

My reaction to this election was EXCLUSIVE! It took a long time for Nov. 4th to come but it finally came and brought out something good... Obama in office. I was happy because this election added something to History. We had a black president in office. Honestly, if McCain would've won i would feel the same about him.

I totally disagree wit annie but i do respect your opinion of Barrack Obama. Some Black people did vote for Obama because he related to them, but it's not all about the color of one's skin. During the election many races voted for Obama for a change in this country. Basically I'm proud to say Im glad to see Obama become the 1st Black president of the U.S.

This election was important to me because my generation got to experience a black man running for president. the man that won was Barack Ombama, and he won this year election. i was happy to see him win.

Ash-Bash said...

I am happy that Barack Obama won the election. I am happy because I believe he will actually make more of an effort to change things then Bush did, and then McCain said he would. Obama isn't promising that he will change everything, but he is saying that he sure will try. McCain seemed like he was just focusing on sending more people to war, and the war needs to be stopped. I hope Obama will really try to change things.

F!ash said...

I wasn't suprised at the results of the election. All the time John McCain spent insulting Barack Obama. He was reassuring the people that he would come throught when elected.

I personally think this election wasn't predicted. I'm all about African American pride, BUT some people may over expect from Senator Obama. Also some people may down grade his abilities. I personally belive Barak Obama needs to show me what he can do. i not the type of person whose just going to give him RESPECT. He definately has to earn it.Even though Mccain lost I have respacet for him. His losing speech was AMAZING. (NOT TO BE FUNNY) It was better than Barak's.

i feel that obama makes a wonderful president-elect..i mean it isn't everyday that an african american man gets to be the president of the united states. While i sat wit my family and watch the red color for McCain scatter across the southern statesi felt as if he was going to be our president in January. When they said that Barack Obama was going to be our president in January i was so excited, I was astonished because i know that now every one that has boudt someone knows that anything is possible.

.well unlike everyone else i was very surprised to see that senator barack obama would americas next president.i must admit that i cried a little when i watched him give his first speech as president-elect.i couldnt beleive that a black man would be our next president.i only wish that i was old enough to vote in this election but even though im not it was still very important to me.i had the chance to help register voters for this election so i felt good.i only hope that barack obama does or at least tries to do everything he said he would.
